Fawcett Mead were retained by Yorkshire based developer Lateral to undertake an extensive forward funding and forward commitment sales programme including a wide range of Supermarket and Convenience Store Investments over a 3 year period.
The occupiers were M&S, Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys and Morrisons in 20 locations throughout the UK which included Harrogate, Reading, Chester, Whitby, Morden, Brentwood and Braintree. A number were sold from a JV with Greene King and were the redevelopment of underperforming pub assets or the utilisation of oversized car parks.
Under extremely tight time pressure, all assets were successfully sold to a wide range of purchasers which were UK institutions, overseas purchasers family offices and private investors.
